Client Results:
"Having
a web site has been very beneficial in my job search. Potential
em-ployers who have viewed it have commented
on its professional presentation, and I believe it has been a key
factor in showcasing my talent at an executive level. As a matter
of fact, I have two interviews next week that were a direct result
of my web portfolio. Thanks for a job well done!"

Conducting Telephone Interviews
TT
The telephone interview is primarily about the
employer and their needs, not about you.
You must ask intelligent questions which probe
the employer's present business situation and
uncover needs which your experience and talents
can address.
A web portfolio is not a substitute for doing
the necessary homework and researching the company
before the phone interview. Nor is it a substitute
for having a list of astute questions prepared,
or for having interviewing skills or the right
qualifications for the job.
When the conversation momentarily comes around
to you and your abilities, you can use your web
portfolio to show how your skills can solve the
employer's business problems.
Send your web portfolio to the hiring manager
before your telephone interview. A web portfolio
is much more likely to be read than a resume.
Your portfolio can bring out key facets of your
background and experience that might otherwise
be missed in a telephone interview. This can enable
you and the hiring manager to get into a meaningful
dialog more quickly during the phone interview
about how you can solve their business problems.
